Pilgrim's Pride Named One of Fortune's 'Most Admired Companies'
PITTSBURG, Texas, March 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pilgrim's Pride Corporation (NYSE: PPC) has been named to Fortune's list of America's "Most Admired Companies" in 2006. It is the fourth consecutive year that the Company has been included in the financial magazine's annual ranking.
Pilgrim's Pride was ranked #2 overall in the Food Production industry. The ranking is based on key reputation attributes, including innovation, employee talent; quality of products/services; financial soundness; use of corporate assets, social responsibility, long-term investment, and quality of management. More than 10,000 executives, directors and securities analysts were surveyed.
