Pilgrim's Pride Receives 'Outstanding Vendor' Award From Brinker International
PITTSBURG, Texas, Nov 13, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Pilgrim's Pride Corporation (NYSE: PPC), the nation's second-largest poultry company, was recently honored as an "outstanding vendor" by Brinker International, Inc., one of the world's leading casual dining restaurant companies.
Pilgrim's Pride was one of only six companies, out of a pool of 700 firms, to receive the award from Brinker, which owns or franchises more than 1,600 restaurants. Among the criteria used in the selection process were product innovation and savings, performance in third-party audits, compliance with product specifications, order fulfillment and on-time deliveries, quality assurance, and customer service.
